Story
Every week, thousands of Palestinian refugees from Syria flee to Lebanon. A large number of them will be in urgent need of medical attention. These refugees will have left behind almost everything they own. They are now entering a country where they will have to negotiate a private healthcare system, which they can’t afford. You could be their lifeline.
MAP is working with the UN to fund treatment for the most life threatening chronic illnesses, like cancer and heart disease.
Your donation today will mean that we will be able to support more Palestinians to get the treatment they need, which could save their life.
· 400,000 Palestinian refugees are already living in dilapidated, overcrowded, unsanitary conditions in Lebanon.
· Nearly 100,000 Palestinian refugees have arrived in the refugee camps in Lebanon having escaped the conflict in Syria. We estimate a minimum of 2,000 are in need of urgent hospital treatment.
The camps are at breaking point, but new refugees have been arriving every day. They have nowhere else to go.
We promise to use your donation to support the medical and health needs of Palestinans, wherever the need is greatest.
