Story

This may be an utterly preposterous idea, but on the night of 6th August, 2012, I will set off from Bowness on Solway (Cumbria) and run the length of Hadrian’s Wall, ending in Wallsend (Newcastle).  My objective (other than survival) is to raise money for the Burma Education Partnership, a fantastic charity that sends teacher trainers to migrant communities on the Thailand-Burma border.  I’ve never run anything like this kind of distance before (135km), but I will certainly be spurred on knowing that the cause is such a good one.

Any contribution would be massively appreciated.

About the charity

The Burma Education Partnership supports education in displaced Burmese communities along the Thai-Burmese border. It provides funding for schools and educational initiatives, including teacher training. It finds placements for teachers in schools, refugee camps and within a mobile teacher programme. It also develops materials for English teaching and general education.
