About us:
MKR (or Mary's Kitchen Rovers) are a bunch of lads who used to go to school together, play rugby together and 'socialise' together during our teenage years.
After a few years of everyone going their own way (uni & work etc) we have reformed a group and we get together a few times a year for rugby, charity events and of course team socials.
What we're doing:
On Sunday 29th May, we are taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, which entails climbing the highest mountain in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours. (FYI, Scotland - Ben Nevis, England - Scafell Pike, Wales - Snowdon.)
With varying fitness levels between us this promises to be far from a walk in the park!
Check out http://www.threepeakschallenge.uk for more information on the challenge.
The Charity:
The charity we are raising money for is the Poole Hospital charity, Gully's Place Trust Fund.
This charity is in our local hospital and does amazing work supporting children with life-limiting & life-threatening illnesses and their families. Please check out the link below for more information on the charity
