Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit MOL LNG (E) Typhoon Haiyan appeal page.

Expatriate Filipino’s are an absolute key to the world’s economic success and form the greater part of the worlds merchant navy including MOL’s seafarers and the hotel and care industry. Many working away from their families will be concerned by the recent natural disaster unfolding of the safety of their loved ones.

The Red Cross celebrates its 150 birthday this year. Started in 1863 by Henry Dunant the original Red Cross was formed to ensure that soldiers injured on the battle field were cared for regardless from which side they fought and has since expanded to be one of the premier front line disaster organizations. Henry Dunant was also responsible for the gathering of national leaders and the first Geneva convention to protect innocent civilians and the soldiers of war against mistreatment.
