In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful
Salam Alaykum & Ramadhan Mubarak!
Alhamdullilah, by the grace of Allah (swt), we have been blessed to witness and reach another Holy month of Ramadhan; a month of generosity and giving.
Fasting is one of the greatest blessings Allah (swt) has bestowed upon us. Fasting teaches us self-discipline, moderation, sacrifice and generosity; it encourages us to remember the poor.
With Ramadhan upon us, let’s remember the struggles our fellow brothers and sisters around the world are going through every day.
Unfortunately, killings in Iraq have become the norm. The wave of terrorist attacks that has been occurring on a daily basis for the last 10 years is the main reason why the number of widows and orphans in Iraq increases day by day.
It is estimated that the number of widows surpasses two million, while the number of orphans stands at more than five million of which 600,000 are living in the streets. Most orphaned families live in conditions of miserable poverty and deprivation on every essential level.
At the moment, the orphans in Iraq are in urgent need of:
· Adequate Nutrition
· Shelter
· Clothing
· Clean water and access to sanitation
· Medical care
· Education
Few days ago, I gave myself the challenge to raise $1000 in the 30 days of the Holy month of Ramadhan for Iraqi Orphans on behalf of the Lady Fatemah (AS) Charitable Trust and, to attain my target; I will need your help.
As this holy month begins, I would like to appeal each of you to donate towards this heartbreaking cause for the sake of Lady Zehra (sa). Please remember that even a small amount counts! You can give 1$, 5$, 10$, etc.; the amount doesn’t matter, your intention does!
It is upon us, as the followers of Imam Mehdi (as), to help as much as we can orphans & widows. Together, we can make a difference; together, we can make a better world for the return of our beloved Imam (as).
Please donate today and share this page with your family & friends.
May our actions bring light to the hearts of these orphans inshaAllah!
