p/hop is an amazing knitting community project that supports the work of the incredible emergency medical aid organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF). There are many ways you can get involved, and making a donation is a key way that knitters can directly contribute to the humanitarian work of MSF.
How does it work?
Generous designers have donated their time and knitting & crochet patterns to p/hop. These patterns are available for you on this website. Browse of our extensive range of patterns – there are over 65 to choose from – and when you find one you like, download it.
You make a donation to MSF here on our JustGiving page or directly to your local MSF office based on how many hours of pleasure you’ll get from knitting your p/hop pattern.
There is no set price for a pattern; you can donate 50p or £50. It’s entirely up to you!
p/hop stands for PENNIES PER HOUR OF PLEASURE!
p/hop is the brainchild of knitter and dyer Natalie Fergie, aka, The Yarn Yard.
Donating through Just Giving is quick, easy and totally secure. You don't need to add your name, you can be "anonymous" or "knitter extraordinaire" or "the frogger".
Using the Just Giving site is easy-peasy. Médecins Sans Frontières UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your donation.
Please help up spread the word! You can find us on twitter @msf_phop, on Facebook and on Ravelry.
