~ MY BROTHER ANDREW DIED BY SUICIDE ON 20 JANUARY 2013. AS SUCH, OUR CYCLE CHALLENGE HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THANK YOU TO DEBS, JAMES AND JO B FOR YOUR DONATIONS TO OUR CHALLENGE. (Joanne. 28/02/13)
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. On Saturday 11 May 2013 we are cycling 83 miles (well actually it's only 82.9 miles!!) on a route that's personal to our family: BURY - LONGTON nr Preston - SOUTHPORT - BURY. We'll set off at 8am and aim to complete the challenge in 10 hours, cycling on the cycle routes & roads via Belmont, Walton-Le-Dale, Tarleton, Halsall, Appleby Bridge, Wigan, Westhoughton and Bolton.
We're raising money for Bury Cancer Support Centre as they do such fantastic and valuable work offering support, friendship, counselling, information and complementary therapies to anyone in the North West touched by cancer, whether patient, carer, relative or friend. The Centre is run entirely on donations (they receive no funding at all from the NHS or any other bodies) and it costs £1,500 a week to keep going.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks.
Joanne
