persecution. Rooted in the experience of visual art making and art therapy, our programmes offer crucial opportunities to make art, reflect, share and develop safe art making practice.

Art Refuge UK is equipped to respond appropriately through art and art therapy in a range of circumstances, informed by decades of collective experience in trauma work, psychosocial approaches, transiting populations and collaborative programmes.

Supported by a strong team of trustees to provide carefully assembled needs-led programmes with experienced artists and art therapists, they are able to establish and maintain meaningful connections with local organisations to really listen to what and where the needs are.

More recently their art therapists have been planning and running the new project in the Calais refugee camps and responding to the emergency and post emergency phases following the 7.9 and 7.4 magnitude earthquakes in Nepal.
