In 2008 Waldorf College, Stroud helped a group of Bedouin to build a dam in the high mountains of Sinai.  The dam was very successful and increased the quantity of water available for many mountain gardens that had been struggling to grow food due to lack of water.  The dam holds back a lot of water and allows it to permeate the water table filling wells downhill of the dam.  During the last couple of winters, unprecedented rainfall has brought tons of silt down into the dam.  The project just completed consists of two smaller dams uphill to catch the silt and more water.  This should increase the water available for over 40 Bedouin families.  The dam extensions are built but still need funding so we can continue our work.  Please help pay for the materials and transport used.
