Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Story goes like this - Enjoy :) ....
In June 2015 I visited Disneyland Paris with my two girls (Laila & Anya) and hubby Alan, and his parents (Jim and Rene). Our girls were very excited prior to the holiday and needless to say loved the whole experience.
Whilst walking around Disneyland and seeing our girls enjoying the experience, we saw families with children who were evidently facing challenges. Witnessing the happiness of the children and their families on what may be a once in a lifetime experience was truly amazing.
When we arrived back home, I decided to follow-up on this and register to enter the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in 29th May 2016 with the aim of raising money to help other deserving children to have the opportunity for similar experiences. As such, I am going to run for 'Wish Upon a Dream' (an IOM Children's Charity).
Unless you have personally been involved in a charity like 'Wish Upon a Dream', we can take these charities for granted. No one knows what the future holds and when you or someone close to you may need support.
Anyone who knows me knows I am not a natural runner. I started training at the end of June 2015 with not being able to run a mile without walking. I didn't have the confidence to run out in public and started my training in the seclusion of the old railway lines at St Johns. Once I reached 3 miles of running, I made it out on public roads! yikes, I have not looked back since... I'm glad to say I've managed to keep up my training over the winter months. This weekend (30th Jan 2016) I did my first 20 Mile run!
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I haven't set a target, any donations received will of course be much appreciated.
Thank you so much
