In 2002 Myself (Marcus McGilvray) and Nicola Willis set up Africaid. Our mission - to help support and protect children and young people in Africa from the scourge of HIV and AIDS. We began by building a youth clinic in Northern Ghana. Each year the clinic works with over 10,000 youth and children successfully providing medical, sexual and reproductive health services. I would now like to extend the clinic building in order to provide a kitchen, community room and office facility to meet the needs of the hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children who attend clinic with severe malnutrion!

The world is mourning the loss of Tata Madiba - but we can remember him better - if we follow his examples! He dedicated his life to helping children and was active in fighting HIV.

What better way to remember Madiba and support our work this Christmas by making a donation to help extend our youth centre services!! With your support we can have the place built and ready by April 2014.

Now you're thinking I can't afford to help - I've no money! Well cut back on the size of your turkey this year; have one pint less on Christmas Eve; don't feed the reindeer this year (no that's a bit harsh!), sell the kids; cancel the holiday; re-mortgage the house etc!!

With your support I can soon be digging foundations and moulding blocks in temperatures in the region of 40 degrees!!!
