Story

Margaret was diagnosed with cancer of unknown primary in November 2009 following a major operation. We were all shocked to hear that in this day and age they were unable to find out what type of cancer she had, and that treatment would be partly guesswork. Her consultant pointed us to the http://www.cupfoundjo.org/ web site which we found immensly helpful.

Tragically, she died on 9th June 2011. Her funeral is at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday 22nd at St. John's Church, London W13 9LA and all friends are welcome. We are asking people to donate money to this charity rather than give flowers at her funeral. Please give generously to enable the charity raise awareness, help others like us and encourage research in this little known but not un-common cancer. If you would rather send a cheque, please make the cheque out to CUP Foundation-Jo's friends and send it to the funeral directors:

Lodge Brothers, 72 Northfield Avenue, London W13 9RR

(marking the donation to be in memory of Margaret Creasy)

David, Alison, Jenni and Anna-Louise.

About the charity

Cancer of Unknown Primary affects about 10,000 people in the UK each year. To be told that you, or a loved one, has cancer but that the type is unknown - information that is fundamental to treatment - is a double blow. We offer information & support; and promote research into improved diagnosis.
