Story
UPDATE: I did it! I was delighted to finish in 4:55:59 - I was aiming to break 5 hours so that was a great achievement. Also I ran consistently throughout without hitting any walls or walking at all, so I did the race successfully at the pace I wanted. And Sam also finished in a time of 4:23:45 which he was very pleased with.
I've added some pics, including me at the moment I saw my family around mile 23.5! Thanks to everyone for your donations, encouragement and support! And it's not too late to donate if you still want to.

Hello, I was lucky enough to get a ballot place to run the London
Marathon on 24 April 2016. It's not quite my first marathon but I think it will be my last - I'm treating it as a once-in-a-lifetime chance to run one of the greatest marathons in the world, in my home city.
I have decided to run for Music Therapy Charity in memory of my
stepfather Richard Durrant, who died in October 2014 and was always helped by music. Music Therapy Charity raise money to give grants to students for research into music therapy, and their current focus is on research relating to dementia.Thank you for anything you can give - it will help them, and help motivate me.
Sam has been inspired to run too, and he is raising money for Refuge, who support women and children against domestic violence. If you'd like to support him too, his page is here http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/sam-morgan-refuge-london-marathon-2016
