Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. Egypt`s tourist industry is on its arse due to continuing unrest in the Middle East, the revolution hasn`t helped much either and tanks on the streets and burnt out buildings don`t exactly enhance the holiday experience. The thing is, animals are the backbone of life in the rural communities of Egypt and many of them are used in the tourist industry e.g the carriage horses along the Nile. But no-one is coming now and the carriage drivers are running out of ideas on how to keep their animals fed and healthy. ACE provide free veterinary treatment and support what are in essence simply hard working people trying to make a living. This wonderful charity also work within the local schools to educate the next generation to be kind to their animals and care for them properly so in having a better life they are more useful to the owners for longer. ACE really do great work but funds are always so, so tight. PLEASE give what you can, a few quid from each of my Facebook `friends` would make such a difference. Thank YOU!
