I am Maria Doyle, a disciple of Jesus Christ. My spiritual journey has not always been straightforward, but, through the high points and the darker days I have learnt that God never lets you us down or deserts what He has called into being.

In fact, one could say I got little of what I wished for, and everything I needed.

I am passionate about living life to the full so that I can be a blessing to every person that God brings into my life. 

I enjoy running and have been running competitively now since 2013.  I ran 10K (2008). Also I run a half marathon (2014) and a full marathon (2014).  2015 was more of a rest year, but I'm back now, having completed my second half marathon in March 2016.

The races are quite addictive, and a great way to spend a day.

This year I am running the London Marathon for Derek Prince Ministries because I love Derek’s excellent Bible teaching and I want to help make his materials available to Christians in the Middle East.

When I was a young Christian I used to listen to Derek's teachings on UCB radio. Derek’s clear biblical exposition, his life story and biblical approach to spiritual warfare has impacted me greatly and has made me the whole believer I am today.

I was blessed to have easy access to such a great Bible teacher, but that is not the case for many Christians in developing countries. They are hungry for God’s Word and, because of poverty or persecution they have little or no access to good Bible teaching.

That’s why I want to do something to help them. My aim is to raise £1,500 for helping to put Derek’s life-changing Bible teaching into the hands of Christians in the Middle East.
