In a moment of madness I said I could do that! Another one of those moments when I should have engaged brain before opening mouth...many of my family & friends will know this is not something I tend to do often!

I also wanted to prove to myself that I could do something if I set my mind on it. So I am going to run 10km then get on my bike & cycle 36.2 miles. The run is in St.Albans & then I will cycle from there to the Olympic Park, a pretty cool finish line.

I wanted to raise money for a local charity so have decided to support West Berkshire Mencap. A Newbury based facilty that provides fantastic support for people with learning disabilities their families, carers and friends.

The centre is fully equipped for those with a disability, is used on a daily basis. There is an induction loop for the hard of hearing and a purpose built sensory room. Th gardens contain a children's playground with a wheelchair swing and all facilities are accessible for children with or without disability.
