Story
I'm running the 11 mile Kernow Killer extreme obstacle course race on 29th October 2016 near Zelah, Cornwall. This endurance course goes through woods, swamps and involves swimming around and under obstacles. This combined with 60 obstacles means a wet, muddy challenge!
I like hiking but am not a keen runner, so the prospect of an 11 mile race is daunting. However, I enjoy a challenge and love animals so hope that by running this race for the Flicka Foundation I can help support an amazing, local charity. The Flicka Foundation rescue donkeys and horses from all around the world from horrific abuse and give them a loving home in Cornwall. As a charity they need help with their running costs and veterinary care bills. For more information on them please check out: http://www.flickafoundation.org.uk/ or you can visit their lovely sanctuary for free and meet their 70 donkeys and 30 horses at Mabe Burnthouse, near Penryn, Cornwall.
If anyone wants to come and watch or cheer me on please do so, as its free to watch the race and I'm hoping for some late October sunshine:) For more information on this event please check out the Kernow Killer page at: http://www.kernowkiller.co.uk/about-us/
Many thanks for your support:)
