Alison Charles, Sarah McPhee and I are raising funds for the University of Aberdeen Alzheimer's/Dementia research team (Professor Matteo Zanda) who are working to develop new treatments and ways to diagnose the condition.

Alison and Sarah are my close friends. They are taking part in the Baker Hughes with me to support us having seen the devastating effect it has had on our family.

To date there is no cure and the treatment available can only delay the onset of the severity of the disease. In some cases the treatment has little effect.
