Story
Marilyn was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, and again in 2012. Both times, she received excellent care from the various services supporting Bristol patients. Both times she fought fiercely, and that wonderful smile of hers did not waver.
In June 2014, not long after she had finished treatment for the second bout of breast cancer, we received the news that Mum had been diagnosed with a secondary form of the disease. Once again we headed out into the unknown, but Mum remained positive throughout.
Despite her brave fight against cancer, Marilyn suffered a heart attack on 26 January 2015, and despite all the efforts of the staff at Bristol Royal Infirmary, she was gone within a couple of hours. We are all devastated by her loss.
We would like to invite friends to donate to B.U.S.T. in her memory. The charity continues to support the work of the Bristol Breast Care Centre, which treats over 22,000 patients per year.
Thank you,
Paul, Tom, John, Helen, Edward and Elizabeth
