Two days after my 40th Birthday I am running the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for Little Buds, the special care unit for babies at Darent Valley Hospital. On the 4th January 2012 my son, Jonah was born with a series of complications at Darent Valley. He needed resuscitation, had multiple organ failure and sepsis. Although they saved his life and stabilised him, he had to be transferred to Ashford Hospital as the special care unit at Darent did not have the facilities to cope with his problems. After Ashford Jonah spent a further 2 weeks in Darent Valley Special Care Unit. I am raising money to help provide more equipment to cope with babies that are born with problems like Jonah.
