Thanks to everyone who has donated so far - I'm now up to 39% of my fundraising target of £500! For those who've been asking, the Helvellyn challenge takes place on Saturday, May 21. Roll on Spring!

I first went up Helvellyn as part of a youth hosteling trip when I was 14, and thought it was about time I had another go... and raise some funds for a good cause at the same time.

We'll be camping overnight at Glenridding, before heading up the 950 metres (3,117 ft) peak - the third highest peak in England, and not for the faint-hearted (six deaths in 2015!)

I'm raising funds for Moor View Rescue, near Harrogate - http://www.moor-view.co.uk/rescue - who offer a safe environment for dogs that have been lost or neglected, and aspire to give them a second chance in life and find them the perfect home.
