Just after the birth of my son my wife was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of vascular cancer called Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (or EHE for short) This was supposed to be the most amazing time of our lives but instead we were faced with this devastating news.

EHE can be slow growing but it can also turn very aggressive at any stage. There is currently no cure for this disease and traditional chemotherapy and radiotherapy do not work. Dr Brian Rubin in the USA is the only Dr in the world dedicating his research to EHE. He is a world renowned pathologist and medical researcher. He has made invaluable contributions to EHE diagnosis and treatment and continues to provide us all affected by EHE with hope.  However every penny of research has to be funded by EHE patients, family and friends. These funds are vital in order to make advancements in the diagnosis, cause and treatment of EHE.

 Nic is faced with the fear and uncertainty of living with EHE every day so I wanted to do something. Not only do I want to raise some much needed money but also want to put myself in a situation where I am facing my fears so I can at least feel a little of what Nic deals with, she really is brave. I figured chucking myself out of plane at 10,000ft would be a good start!

All donations no matter how small are appreciated and are so important to help the research continue. One day we hope we can beat this horrible disease and live our lives without feeling scared and uncertain about what the future holds for our little family.
