Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So - why am I doing this?

You could call it a mid life crisis, or a challenge to prove that I am not really in the depths of middle age, but this is a real challenge with no guaranteed outcome.

There are 4 of us, all of us in our 40's with a support vehicle - thank you Trevor. We hope to cover the distance of 900ish miles in 9 days.

Now that is a worry as I am beat after a 40 mile training run at the moment and we are looking at starting this on 10th June!

I will just have to knuckle down and get some miles under the belt!!

I could not justify taking the time away from work or family without trying to raise money for a good cause. I don't see any causes better than the Brian House Palliative Care Hospice. The  support and care the Hospice offers to families and children with life threatening conditions is brilliant.  I just hope I can do justice and raise some much needed funds for such a worthy cause.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

Trinity Hospice and Palliative Care Services and Brian House Children's Hospice provides specialist palliative care to the adults and children of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and much needed support for their families. Our services are available free of charge, however the Hospice only received limited government funding and therefore approximately £4m needs to be raised each year from the community. Your support is greatly appreciated.
