Story
As you may be aware in October 2015 I was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
Initially I refused to accept the diagnosis and did not want to know about the treatments available to me, I felt a burden to my family. I had given up.
My Macmillan nurse persuaded me to visit Rossendale Hospice and I am so glad I did. I will be forever grateful to Rossendale Hospice and cannot speak too highly about the marvellous work they do. The Hospice has given me more time to spend with my wife and children. The Hospice helped me to live again.
I am slowly regaining my strength and overcoming the overwhelming tiredness the chemotherapy and treatment causes. Despite this I have set myself a personal goal.
On Sunday 11 July I will take part in the eight mile Morecambe Bay walk to raise much needed funds for Rossendale Hospice, please be as generous as you possibly can.
