Dave, Nick & Mark - 3 mates who've decided to take-on the toughest amateur cyclosportive event in Europe - La Marmotte (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Marmotte).  Our aim is to raise funds for the essential work of The Fountain of Peace charity, giving orphaned kids in Uganda a chance to grow-up in a community with education, healthcare, and most importantly, love.

La Marmotte is an event set around classic climbs in the French Alps.  Each year, close to a third of the 7,00 participants fail to finish, so it'll be a major achievement for any of us just to cross the finish line at the summit of L'Alpe d'Huez.  (Even the silver standard qualifying time is 11 hrs 10 mins!).  

07 July will be a day of suffering on the bike for us, although it could mean an end to a lifetime of suffering for these kids.
