Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Me and my wife Dawn, are running the Baxters Lochness Marathon in memory of my Dad, Walter Baxter who passed away on the 21st of March 2016 after a battle with cancer.

Dads last weeks were spent at Roxburghe House Aberdeen. The care, love and commitment they gave Dad was out of this world, so looking to try and give something back, no matter how small but something non the less...

Cancer is a dreadful disease which effects many people who in time, spend there last days at Roxburghe House.

Many of the people who work there are volunteers, for which my sister (Paula Baxter)  and I have asked to help however general advice is to wait at least 18 months after bereavement before volunteering, so as a stop gap until I can volunteer there, I'm going to try and do my bit at least with this run.

My sister Paula is also signed up for the Twilight walk in Inverurie on the 06th of May 2016;
