Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In early March, my wonderful brother-in-law and friend, Justin Smith, died suddenly, leaving very many of us shocked and bereft. He was just 46. You can read his obituary in 'The Guardian' here: http://bit.ly/JustinsObituary. In order to create something positive out of this tragic situation, his wife Lucy is setting up a Fund in his memory. The Fund will be managed by the Avon Wildlife Trust, where Justin had worked, and is likely to take the form of a bursary in order to train young ecologists. This will go some way to continuing Justin's legacy of love for the natural environment.
I have linked this page to an In Memory page for Justin, so that we can continue to grow the Fund over time. My wife Catie and brother-in-law Ben both ran the Bristol 10K on 11th May and raised over £2,000 for this fund already - anything you can donate for my efforts will add to a growing pot of money. Thanks
I'll be swimming 1.9km, cycling 90km and then running 21.2km in order to complete the course - Exmoor, 15th June 2014. And I'm hoping to do it all in under 7 hours...
