With 57,000 participants, the Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world. This year they're aiming to have one runner from each country in the world, 193 in total. I was selected to run for Austria and I'm super excited to represent my home country in this great event.

I'm fundraising for Thames21 who's mission it is to put healthy rivers back to the heart of the community. They focus on delivering environmental improvements, education, research and advocacy work across the capital. 

Thames21 are taking a four-pronged approach to achieve their goals. Through an education programme, they empower people and environmental enhancement work is transforming rivers; meanwhile their pioneering research and advocacy work are paving the way for sustainable change and all of this is achieved with the direct engagement and support from a wide network of dedicated volunteers.
