We support people to become fulfilled, skilled and employed

Story

I am running the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottingham to raise money for The Jericho Foundation, the charity Lou works for.

They work with survivors of modern slavery, supporting them into paid, sustainable employment through Jericho's social enterprises together with a package of support to help with language, housing, and other barriers they face. Victims of modern slavery are generally capable, hardworking individuals who want to take responsibility for themselves and their families but who have been duped, abused and exploited. Often they cannot go home as the risk of further exploitation is extremely high but without access to benefits they are at high risk of homelessness and destitution and are vulnerable to re-trafficking.

I want to raise money to support Jericho's work in offering personalised support to these individuals to help them progress from being victims, to surviving, and ultimately thriving in the community.
