Hello there

So I grew up 8 doors down from the Sullivan's.  What a family, let me tell ya.  Gerry (dad) was a larger than life figure during my childhood.  A very big man in every way, the only non-farmer in his family and with a booming voice would grill me on what I was making of my life.  I would go 'uh....' clearly figuring everything out.  He, on the other hand, had become a surgeon and that wasn't enough.  He then launched a cancer research foundation to merge the work of physicians and scientists on the pursuit of cures for cancer.  He traveled across the globe speaking on his expertise and learnings.  He was, to me, the epitomy of a lifelong learner with a purpose.  Gerry passed away two years ago, losing his fight to cancer, but Gerry's work continues on at Breakthough Cancer Research.

I'm walking the NYC Marathon with Gerry's family and many friends to continue his good work and to honor him.  We miss you Gerry.
