The school council have requested more climbing equipment on the field, particularly in the KS2 areas, so that all children who want to can enjoy the challenge of climbing, scrambling and basically being really active at playtime. The cost of quality climbing equipment is considerable and so, in a bid to support the children’s wishes and also promote the idea of walking to school, myself and the ever enthusiastic Mrs Rick shall be completing a sponsored walk to work on Tuesday 7th June. We will be setting off from my house in Witham and walking over twenty five miles to Westcliff in a bid to raise at least £5,000.  We would really appreciate your support in order to create the most fantastic play areas that all our children deserve! Any child whose family sponsor will join us for the final few laps of the field as part of the fun!
