Story
So…….I have the honour of being one of the 20 alumni of Boxinbusiness’s ‘The Original Jersey White Collar’ selected to take part in their October show ‘Don’t Call it a Comeback!’, held at The Royal Showground (8th
October 2016)!!
I was class of 2011, and what can I say, I loved every minute of it, it truly was one of the hardest yet rewarding experiences I have every gone through. Even with the endless amounts of blood, sweat and even tears, and now after 5 years I have
another opportunity to lace up the gloves and step into the ring and raise as much money as I can for charity by getting punched in the face!! I can’t bloody
wait!!
I will be taking part in ‘The Real Contender’ tournament on fight night which is where 4 boxers will fight two semi-finals which will be the first two bouts at the beginning of the night with the winners progressing to the final at the top of the bill! I am joined by three top lads (Nathan, Andrew, and Cameron) who I know won’t disappoint the crowd with some cracking fights. So there is a chance that you won’t just get to see me getting beaten up once, but you could see me getting punched in the face twice in one night, and if that isn’t worth a donation then I don’t know what is….!!
I have chosen two locally based charities to raise money for which are, SCBU and Wetwheels!! I have included below a short description of both and the work they do, and I think you all agree they are two very deserving charities who do incredible work here in Jersey.
SCBU do incredibly things here in Jersey and a lot of their work goes unsung. I only recently heard about SCBU however after hearing about the work they do and speaking to a few people who have benefited from their work, I was in no doubt in choosing them to support.
"Friends of SCBU (Jersey) work hard to raise funds to purchase essential
specialist equipment, training & development of the SCBU team as well as
assisting families who need to travel to the UK for their babies to receive
treatment. Thank you to all our dedicated supporters.

Wetwheels has a very close relationship with BoxinBusiness and The Original Jersey White Collar for many years now and I feel it is only right to continue our support for such a deserving charity.
“Jersey is steeped in maritime history and boasts one of the most exciting 'marine countrysides' anywhere in Europe. Sadly, access to the water has historically been the preserve of a small percentage of islanders. Wetwheels is a purpose-built power catamaran that allows disabled and disadvantaged people in Jersey to experience the sheer thrill of being at sea whilst being on a safe and reliable vessel. She can be used for fishing trips, exploring the coast or learning how to pilot the craft.”
Well thank you for taking the time to read ‘my story’ and please any donation will be much appreciated
I better get training!!
