I have never been a Birthday person but here is an excuse to have a party and hopefully do some good in the process. I am passionate about  wildlife and cats in particular. In helping to conserve wild cats we necessarily help to conserve the habitat in which they live and this in turn helps other wildlife. Bio-diversity is the name of the game! We can't afford to lose cats. Not only are these animals beautiful, elegant, wild and often inspirational but they and other wildlife form a surprisingly integral part of our cultural awareness. Look at the loose change in your pocket and you will find a cat somewhere. You may not drive one but you are sure to see a Jaguar on the roads most days of your life. You may have noticed the famous depictions on the England football and cricket team kits. The "three lions" as an emblem of the English coat of arms dates back to 1066. A reminder of the often little thought of fact that humans have venerated these animals for hundreds of years is no bad thing!

Many species of cat are on the brink of being in serious danger of extinction in some areas and I would be ashamed to be part of the generation who couldn't save them. Please give to help the important work of this wonderful charity.
