On Friday the 17th of April, I will be having a day of silence to raise awareness of harassment against LGBT youth. My deliberate silence will reflect silence of others when they hear abuse against LGBT people. I have experienced first hand abuse - on the basis of my sexuality - I know what it is like to not have an ally. Please, if you hear it stop it. Ending the silence is the first step to recognising these injustices.
