Story
Hello, I am running (crawling whilst crying) the 2016 London Marathon for a couple reasons.
One is I'm an idiot who loves a challenge. So the selfish part of me is taking on a marathon. For one time only. This is not my new hobby!
The second is that I want to fundraise for spinal research due to my family's understanding of their research due to my father being paralysed in a car crash when I was ten. I feel fundraising should be a challenge and although I admit I am looking forward to the completing the marathon it should be understood that I hate running, hate it. And training, just ask my old team mates.
Did I mention I am not a massive fan of running... I hate running... By trade I am a rugby union prop. This is not going to be natural. My happy place is in a scrum. Or eating food...Please donate what you can for this fantastic life changing charity and trust that this is not going to be pleasant for me but I will give everything to make your donations worthwhile. My target is sub 4 hours. Yep I am putting that out there. Probably my second mistake. After signing up...!
