This Christmas Dave, Maureen, Emma and Matt will be spending Christmas helping support Maureen Clayton as she holds the fort for Education for Life out in Timbwani which is near Mombasa in Kenya.

We will be there for 3 weeks. Emma is organising a holiday club in the run up to Christmas, we will be supporting the feeding programme ( 750 children per day), helping set up the school for the new academic year, plus anything else we can do to help the project..

We will also be celebrating Christmas Day with the church which includes a Christmas service followed by a Christmas meal of pilau rice with chicken. As the people of Tumaini cannot afford Christmas presents we also want to give each child a lollipop and possibly a small gift ( and probably the adults to!). It will be a very different Christmas experience for us as a family.

We hope all our friends and family understand that this year instead of sending Christmas Cards to you all, that we plan to use the money towards paying for the Christmas meal for the village plus the presents for the children. It would be fantastic if any of you feel that you would like to contribute to the Christmas celebrations as well. If we receive more money than we need to give them a great Christmas then we will donate the rest towards the feeding programme.
