Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page
It's been a while since i've done something silly so i've decided to run the London Marathon this year.
It's me versus 26 miles on Sunday April 24th and I'd love your support. I'm running for Scannappeal which raises money for hospitals across South Buckinghamshire where I grew up.
These hospitals and charity have a special meaning for me because three weeks ago my Dad was taken into intensive care at Wycombe Hospital to be treated for Guillian-Barre Syndrome - a rare disease in which the immune system attacks the nervous system causing paralysis. It was a scary and frightening experience for everyone involved. I'm pleased to say that Dad is now out of intensive care but has a long road of recovery ahead of him to regain his health and fitness.
Dad was cared for brilliantly by the staff and equipment at both Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals – some equipment that previous Scannappeal campaigns helped to raise funds for. I'd love to raise as much as I can to say thank you - my suffering for 26 miles is nothing compared to that which these hospitals deal with daily.
If you'd like to sponsor me it would mean a lot to me and those you'll support in the future.
Thanks a million
Max
