Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Max was diagnosed at 5 weeks old with a very rare cancer called Neuroblastoma. He went through 3 months of chemotherapy for us to find the tumor which was originally 8cm in diameter had totally disapeared. We were over the moon. Max then had to go through a week of high dose chemotherapy and then a bone marrow thransplant both of these treatments had side affects and risks but Max delt with them really well and battled through both times. After 6 weeks in isolation we where allowed home only to end up back in hospital this time in intesive care because Max had a infection in his central line which lead directly to his heart meaning he got really sick very quickly to a life threatening stage. After putting up such a massive battle and pulling himself back from the brink we where allowed home 1 week later.A few weeks after that max started his next lot of treatment which made him very poorly but still Max fort on. We where given the all clear in July and decided to give Max a much derseverd break away for a weekend to Wales. We came back from the break and Max was not feeling himself so we took him back to the hospital and an ultrasound showed the Tumor was back!!. Max had relapsed. After trying diffrent chemotherapys the tumor just kept growing and we were given the devastating news that there was nothing else they could do. We took Max home hoping to get a few good weeks were we could spoil him and spend time with him away from the hospital but sadly we only got one week. Max fell asleep in my arms and just never woke up. He was the strongest bravest boy I know. But he is no longer in pain, and I know he watches over us.
