Story
Dear friends and fam
I hope everyone’s well. I’m taking part in a 4-day cycle challenge. Starting in London and finishing along the canals of Amsterdam, I will be biking a total of 360 miles. All to raise money for charity – and for the adventure of course.
My goal is to raise up to £1,500 for The Citizen’s Foundation - a
UK-registered charity which builds and runs schools for both
boys and girls in rural and urban slums across Pakistan.
The founders set up 5 schools in 1995. Funded through donations, today the charity runs 1,060 schools providing education to over 165,000 children. 50% of the children in their schools are girls! In a
country with appalling rates of female literacy, this will have a major
impact in educating the next generation of women.
I believe education is the key to solving many of the problems faced in Pakistan today ranging from economic development, women's rights
to intolerance and terrorism.
Any amount that you would be willing to donate will be hugely appreciated. For those who need more of an incentive to sponsor me, I'll be sharing photos of my suffering and you can ask me to bring treats back from Holland (except for THAT of course ;))
Lots of love
