Story
We both have our personal reasons to support the BHF. For Ros the death of her grand father and her work as a physiotherapist started her interest. For Peter it was the death of his father in 2005 that started the connection with the British Heart Foundation. Peter's father- called Engel, which means Angel in Dutch, died in his sleep caused by a heart that stopped beating. A beautiful death if there is such a thing, but leaving the family behind with questions about "what if".When we married a year later, we decided to start the Engel Fund on behalf of the BHF. We, friends and family donated money to support research into heart problems. By the start of 2013 we had raised about £9,000.
Then in May 2013 Peter's niece died. Unexpectedly, in her sleep, with no other cause then just her heart that stopped beating. A beautiful death does not apply to a 22 year old.
