UPDATE!
We completed the walk (11 miles in just under 4 hours - hurrah!) - thank you so much to everyone who has supported me. And another BIG thank you to all the staff from Barclays who walked with me and kept me going (with chats about Jamaican Christmas cakes and low interest rates)!
They are also raising money for the Lyric, and hope to get over £5,000 which will be matched £ for £ by the company to be doubled!

With everyone's help I've smashed my target which is just incredible (though a little more never hurt anyone so if you are still able to donate I shall not stop you..!). Between us we're trying to get to a total of £15,000 for the Lyric's amazing work with young people.

Next week I shall be joining almost 50 people from Barclays
bank and the Lyric Hammersmith to walk over 10 miles across London from Canary Wharf to the Lyric in west London. Rain or shine, we will keep going!
You may know that the Lyric is close to my heart, as I've been very involved over the years appearing onstage and assisting with workshops and programmes with young people.
Barclays bank have been incredibly generous in offering to match £ for £ the amount raised by their staff, and I thought I would set up my own page to add to the total!
Every penny raised will go to the Lyric and their life-changing work with young people. As well as the plays and fantastic work onstage, the Lyric run programmes for children and young people from all walks of life giving access to the arts and theatre.
This includes a series of targeted programmes for children in care, young offenders or those at risk of offending, children at risk of exclusion from education, unemployed and other at risk young people. These projects help participants turn their lives around by building confidence, rehearsing alternative behaviours, improving literacy and receiving qualifications, all through a theatre-based learning alternative.
This is one example of the amazing work of the Lyric - please support as generously as you can!
