Men of ADYC, 30 November 2016

Story

Men of the ADYC (Armagh Diocesan Youth Commission) are getting together to help support a local mental health charity called PIPS based in Newry.  The men of ADYC are growing facial hair throughout the month of November in an appeal named "Movember" to support PIPS Newry and Mourne.  PIPS are the Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide and Self-harm.  PIPS provided care and support to those who really need help.

We want to help make a difference.  Therefore for the month of November we will be setting the shaver aside and growing our beards to create awareness for positive mental health and to raise money for PIPS.  We want to let people know there is help available and to encourage people to look after their mental health.  Also through this fundraising, we want to help PIPS carry out this necessary work in our local community.
