Story
For many of the women we help Christmas has not been such a positive experience.
"I used to dread the season as it was a time for arguments and an
overwhelming sense of loneliness." Sarah (Former resident)
We use Christmas as an opportunity to create a new
celebration for the residents! The house will be filled with laughter and our
hearts will be filled to overflowing with the goodness of God. Sarah's thoughts now:
"Christmas is a
time to celebrate and Mercy showed me that. A time of joy as we celebrate Jesus'
birth; thankfulness as we think about His love and a time to enjoy with loved
ones."
We want to invite you to be
part of this very special Christmas celebration!
Write a special message of love, hope,
joy and encouragement to our residents. Your personal words will be written
onto a bauble and displayed in the home
during the Christmas season to remind them how loved they are!
Sarah concluded her words with the following,
"I am grateful
that I got to spend Christmas at Mercy and make new memories of what is now a
special time!"
May we also ask that as you write your encouragement
you consider donating a special Christmas gift of £10 towards
the work of Mercy UK? Whether it is through our free of charge
residential discipleship programme, our speaking engagements or training days,
your gift will enable more people like
Sarah to discover fresh hope for their future in 2016.
