Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My challenge was to climb Britain's 3 highest mountains in just 24 hours - Ben Nevis (4,409 feet), Scafell Pike (3,209 feet) and Mount Snowdon (3,560 feet). I did this with a team from the Moonpig/Photobox Smile Foundation to raise funds for XLP - a charity which does amazing work to support disadvantaged children and young people.
XLP has been operating since 1996 in some of London's most deprived boroughs. Every week, they work with 1,500 children, either on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups - through their three converted double decker buses, which serve as mobile youth centres, through sports, arts and mentoring programmes, and through direct work within schools.
Over time XLP builds relationships with the young people and works with them to help them overcome the difficulties they face - helping them to resist the dangers they face such as educational failure, gang culture, drug abuse and knife crime.
