We provide education, care and activities to broaden lives of less fortunate children

Story

As President of Reed's School Foundation Appeal for 2015/16, I am honoured to be presiding over this venerable City institution during its 200th anniversary. The inaugural Appeal was launched in 1815 by His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent.

Originally the London Orphan Asylum, founded to provide support and education to destitute children, it continues to change the lives of thousands of orphaned and disadvantaged children by offering bursaries to attend Reed's School, providing educational and cultural programmes to inner city schools in deprived areas and bringing together national thought-leaders to discuss solutions to child deprivation through the Andrew Reed Debate series.

I believe the Charity's Founder, Rev. Andrew Reed, captured it perfectly when he said "A good education is a fortune a child can never spend."
