We thought 40 years of marriage was a long time.  Unlike some jail sentences, there's no time off for good behaviour, so thought we'd have a celebration instead!    Our Wedding Day in '75 was not our dream day - although we were lucky enough to have friends and family there and who can forget Alan in his cherry red suit and his white Roller!  We've often thought about having a 'proper wedding' so we thought we would do it on our 40th Anniversary rather than our 50th, as there wouldn't be a lot of room for walking sticks, crutches, zimmer frames and wheelchairs!  We hope you feel able to make a donation (rather than a gift) to either one of the charities, but if you would prefer to come along on the day with a bag full rubies, we will of course, gladly accept.
