Maddie was diagnosed with leukaemia in October 2013, age 6. Since the diagnosis Madison has been inspirational, she has reacted with unbelievable maturity and has been incredibly brave. She has continued with school and gone about her life as any other 8 year old would (School Attendance 92.16%). Maddie has helped raise awareness for the Stand up to Cancer appeal by featuring in their television advert as well competing in Race for Life twice and other cancer based charities. Her positive attitude has inspired other children going through the ordeal and has been featured in a double page article in the newspaper.
