In memory of Wadud Abdul

Story

I'm trying to raise some funds so that we can build a Roman fort on our school grounds in memory of our late colleague and friend Wadud. (Who sadly passed away whilst having a family day out celebrating his birthday).

Wadud had a passion for learning and teaching, he was enthusiastic, caring and a friend to many. His smile and character would light up our school.

Wadud enjoyed experimenting with outdoor learning projects, which helped capture our children's learning needs and kept them engaged. The children enjoyed his lessons and thrived on the opportunities to explore and experiment hands on.

Our school grounds are on part of the Hadrian's wall so it seems fitting along with Waduds passion for History and the Romans, that we can create something where the children and staff can learn and teach whilst also remembering our late friend and colleague.
