Story
Currently 12 million people are displaced due to the war in Syria. This is the single largest humanitarian crisis on the planet. The Rural Refugee Network (RRN) was set up by a group of local philanthropists, to help expedite the safe transfer of families from refugee camps on the Syrian border to the UK. Once safely in the UK, RRN works with local organisations and volunteers to support the families' needs, and offer them the security of a stable environment.
A couple of us 'Mighty Mums' are taking on the Tough Mudder London South Half to raise funds for this wonderful charity. While this cannot compare to the emotional and physical challenges the families the RRN supports have faced, it will still be a challenge to most of us.... We would really appreciate your support! Funds raised will go directly towards the RRN families: £250 buys a family warm coats and clothes to cope with our cold, damp winters while £150 would allow one family's children to join local sports/music/drama clubs to help with settling into their new environment.
Please help us to help these people who have struggled through such adversity, and we will keep you posted with the struggles we faced during the Tough Mudder! Massive thanks
