After running my first ever half marathon in March, I soon decided that one wasn't enough and signed up for the Cardiff half this October, along with my son Jake Dow.

I didn't hesitate when decided which charity to run for, Believe.

The Believe charity was created in the memory of a Father named Stuart and his young son  Fraser. Both tragically lost their lives after being hit by a car near Talbot Green.

Young Fraser went on to do the incredible, he gave life to others after donating his organs. A part of him living on in others.

The Believe charity promotes Organ donation,  provides advice and support to family members during and after organs have been donated. A service that wasn't available to those coming to terms with a loss of a loved one and considering the possibility of Organ donation. This charity, Believe, gives the support needed when organs have been donated, it gives those family members someone to talk to and share their experience with because for them the journey of Organ donation is not over.

Believe brings comfort to those still grieving. It is such a beautiful and inspiring charity and this is why I chose to run the half Marathon for them and for what they stand for. To have my son by my side doing it with me, just makes this run alot more meaningful.
